Workmanship is probably most important to me, especially since the price is about the same regardless of where you go. I've taken mine to some of the sports chains (Sports Authority, Sports Chalet) and gotten a crappy job. I even went to a Tennis specialty store thinking, "Well, if I can't get a good stringing here..." but when I got the racquet back the mains/crosses weren't straight...it was a piss poor job. Yeah, I hate that - strings that aren't straight.

I finally found a local guy who does it on the side out of his garage. He's retired so it's just a source of a little extra income and his rates are comparable to the others. Plus those mains/crosses are so straight you could use them as a ruler.

love it marc! honestly the best way to go in someone who does it as a side job

now people think that if its a side job theyre not gonna care,

on the other side since they have no rush they can take their time vs. the tennis shop who has huge over head and needs to get 4 rackets out an hours vs. one or 2 perhours from the other guys
