He skipped the french open for what? To get beat in the third round? Is his game all washed up or is there a chance for him to improve?

thats unexpected but in all honestly it is not like a nobody got him, Feliciano Lopez is not a slouch on grass with his serve and all.

He skipped the french open and put his best effort forward and lost this hardly is indicative of the state of his game. It is funny how dramatic we tennis fan tends to be. It is but one match, an unlucky or no but one match which is a bummer as wimbledon was his best shot at a major!

It would be different if this was a one match case, but his results have been anything but stellar lately..

I saw the last two games of the match and it just seemed like Lopez refused to lose. The lefty brought the heat with the serve and matched Roddick from the baseline. Feliciano beat Nadal at Queens last year and went 3 sets with Roddick there this year. If they keep the Flushing courts fast this year. Roddick is still a dark horse to win it all.
You think?? I just don't see him beating Djokovic or Federer on hard courts. Djokovic is way to good a returner and would neutralize Andy's major weapon you know? I could be wrong, but I'm looking at Nadal, Fed, Nole, and DelPo as the last four this open.

No I dont either see him beating the Federer,

wow all those lines of raw wisdom, just deleted, did not post,  lost forever in the ether net.

summary of the lost wisdom:) :

Roddick not finish still next year Wimbledon. US open doubtful but with his serve cannot be discounted.

Lopez played like a god 37 winners 7 unforced. Roddick is 8-2 against him, the guy just played unbelievable that is the beauty of tennis on any given day anything can happen.
