4 consecutive strings. I have done break break skip break before but never 4 in a row.

I have never felt anything like this. It kinda felt like I lost my vibration dampner but I don't play with one so I thought maybe my racquet broke before I got to look at it.

Does a break like this mean anything?
Dayam!  I've NEVER seen anything like that before!!!!  Did you do that?!  4 mains at once?
Ya, I did it today with one pretty routine forhand??
cool, my brother used to break'em like that, maybe it's a lefty thing, he tore 5 one time crazy
Dude I was so close to the 5th... its hanging by a thread

lefties tend to break the crosses more (in my opinion) but i think it's because the soft multifilament strings John has does not like the clay court (adds a sawing effect in between strings) and if you leave the multifilaments under the sun like in your car or a long match on a sunny day, this causes the strings to dry up and become brittle.. hence the 4 strings popping at the same time in the sweet spot.

Meh, I don't know joseph. These strings never saw clay (though I play frquently on clay) I got the 9 hours I was expecting. It was during the third lesson of my day today. I frequently break 3 strings (break break skip break) somehow I just got that 4th today.

...also my backup feels right and I doubt the bag has been left out recently. I think I just happened to get that 4th today

I'm going for 5 next time! Maybe its all this extra weight I gained ;)
These are mains that are broken too =)

9 hours, yes them strings should break then.  i'm sure you've tried using poly for the mains and same strings you been using for crosses...  maybe then it'll be about 12 hours but it would be totally cool to see all 5 of the crosses on the sweetspot break at the same time.  :-)

Meh... everyone in the world puts poly in the main, synthetic crosses.

Federer does it the other way, so I tried. I love it "backwards". My director does too but can't handle the lack of durability so he does it regular (poly in mains)
i figured you'd like backwards since you're a lefty.
They do seem to be notched very well, could just be bad luck they all went at once. How much court time on them?
