friends?
I have noticed several threads turning a little hostile.
Im tryin to give a heads up to Tim and everyone that we are all going through things in real life. I never mean any disrespect but sometimes I speak my mind (even to doubles partners)l
As far as I see it tennisopolis is onto something that most of the tennis world is not. That makes us a team. I find myself cheering on alyisha simmons? I noticed she played dubs with someone who trained at my club) that would have never happened if i didnt see the pic on here.
I want mike to win the 4.0's. I encourage tim to compete. I want tennisopolis to invade the grand prix tournaments.
I think all this is cool. Keep in mind I yell at my clients for being 2 time losers when they do the shot wrong and miss. Doesn't mean I like them any less

Its not being tough... type andy riggs into usta. He plays on a 5.0 team around here that is not very strong. He played #1 after me at AR. I know him very well
Type in sharif, viera, (all sac state players =5.5 except janade and jordan boyles who are 5.0
I suppose weston and wettengale could be 6.5? I mean I guess I don't understand tennis like they do. I had a break point to get back on serve at 4-4 against weston in sf. I got tuned by wettengale and fairchildes in modesto once.
but I am a 5.0... would I really get 8 games from weston if he were 1.5 better than me on the ntrp scale? I don't see me losing 8 games to a 3.5
And if rafa is a 7.0 can wettengale/ weston really be 6.5? 6.5 is like the very top of futures tournaments and like a decent challenger player right?
I have never heard of the assets. What's that about?
Also remember, It said Tim was 5.5. That's a pretty good player no matter how you shake it down. I would expect there to have been some sort of ranking, college, something

I beat rich andrews last Friday (his dad lol)
He has got to be a 6.0ish... he is no better than tyler brown who played higher on the cal team and was on a 5.5 team last yr.

well he's in the semi's of Pac 10 singles championship pretty impressive those guys must be 6.0+. Actually just looked he lost in 3 to Klahn (ncaa champ2010) no way USTA should have him at 5.5.

What I have always loved about tennis is that if there is any doubt who is better you play head to head. Whoever wins is better (at least that day)
One lucky swing of the bat, or score of a goal can change a game. In tennis a lucky shot has to happen 4 times to win the game and 6 of those games for a set...

Ya. 6.0 by defination is a nationally ranked D1 tennis player (andrews). Tyler brown is every bit the player nick is (#1 for cal) and the stead $25k champion and he played on a 5.5 team..
So ya, great 5.5 good 6.0
When he is in the semi's of a challenger. $50k or 100k we can talk 6.5

I'm kidding... the guy I normally partner with is 'round about 5'10 255... and he's not a fatty and is often mistaken for some "name your favorite NFL linebacker"... so our teammates normally joke around with the opposing team before the match... "we're gonna win one way or the other... on the courts..... or off"
It's a joke. nevermind. I guess you guys don't have athletes in california that learned the game early but turn out to be football players in nature.

Well, personally I think you are selling yourself short, looking at your 5.0 results you are above that, as for ratings for league play well that is a whole other story.
