Try USTA League Tennis site Tennis Link

Contact the area league coordinator closest to you who will put you in touch with team captains at your NTRP level.

Yes, there is a Marine league in the south bay, and I know the following facilities have multiple teams: Manhattan Beach Country Club; Live Oak; South End; Ernie Howlett; Las Conchas; Penninsula Racket Club; Jack Kramer Club.  There are four main divisions: A, B, C, D.  Some of those divisions have subdivisions, such as A1 and A2.  As I understand how it works, you do NOT want to start too low because it's hard to move up; therefore, if you're sort of a beginner but expect to advance quickly, you would want to get on a C team, not D, because moving from D to C can take a long time due to the rules regarding how many wins you need to move up.  If you want more info, I can get you a number.  JeffB
thanks Jeff I'd appreciate the number so I can get more info. I am interested.
