Yes, there is a Marine league in the south bay, and I know the following facilities have multiple teams: Manhattan Beach Country Club; Live Oak; South End; Ernie Howlett; Las Conchas; Penninsula Racket Club; Jack Kramer Club. There are four main divisions: A, B, C, D. Some of those divisions have subdivisions, such as A1 and A2. As I understand how it works, you do NOT want to start too low because it's hard to move up; therefore, if you're sort of a beginner but expect to advance quickly, you would want to get on a C team, not D, because moving from D to C can take a long time due to the rules regarding how many wins you need to move up.
