Serena and Venus vs ITF for 2012 Summer Olympics

So Serena and Venus have always been 2 of my favorite women players on the WTA. They brought me into the sport. I remember being SOOOO STOKED when Serena and Roddick first announced their plans to play mixed doubles at the summer olympics. And now with this bad string of events, its not looking like V or Serena will make it. What does everyone else think?? Will the USTA be able to make it happen??

Well put Wesley. Nadal is an excellent example of someone who doesn't need to prove anything by playing several tournaments, DID, and ended up out for several months. Even he is his prime is learning that if you want longevity that you have to be modest in listening to your body and what it tells you its limits are. What I respect so much about the the Williams' is that they recognize that tennis is a big part of their life, but not the only part of their life. Mentally alot of players get burnt out because for a decade+ their everything is tennis. I think the fact that they have allowed room for their other interests coupled with a reduced schedule will allow for them to stay on the tour longer AND keep a fresh disposition about the sport that they love to play.

Even tho Venus and Serena Havent played in awhile my mind and last memory of them thay are still the favorite but if i were a betting man I Would put my money on Bethany and Meghann as a double medalist, I love V And Serena Cant nobody take anything from them but Iam young and dont know a lot of things but i love all sports and this is starting to remind me of the Brett Farve Sagga Iam only 15 and since i was 7 and started to watch tennis it was Justine, Svetlania,Kim,Dementeava

Venus, Serena,Danira,Meresmo and now its a whole new top ten and thats just how tennis goes and i will face that dreadfull day and when it get here Iam Going to to Brett Farve too LOL:)
