Tennisopolis : Tennis Social Network

I had a couple of questions about pick up games in SM... I'll be moving to the area shortly and I'm curious what the tennis scene is like in SoCal. Maybe someone might be able to help me?

How easy or hard is it to pick up a game at Reed Park or Memorial park?

Of the two which is nicer, and is it always full during afterwork hours?

Can you name any other parks with regular players around memorial or reed?

Hey John,

I'm pretty new to the area so I can't advise you on the best courts for pickup games. But, I'm looking for hitting partners if you need someone to hit with. Let me know.

Looks like memorial is the best place for pick up games if there was any.

Christopher Reed Courts is a public pay park $2.50 / per head / per hour. Reed Courts are also nicer and lit until ~10pm.

There are a couple of other courts in the santa monica area but they are limited to ~2 courts. Non pay, non lit.

The courts look like they get filled up during the evening, but I was only there for the weekend so I could be wrong for other days.

I was impressed at the level of place some of the people at the courts play at.

I'll be down there in a couple of weeks if you want to hit.
