I would love to get a regular weekly game going during school hours (8AM to 2PM), weather permitting. I can't start until the week of Sept 15 but I'm just wondering if there are any other moms in SE/NE Portland looking for a regular game while the kids are in school? I'm not a great player but can serve and return the ball pretty consistently ... and I want to get better! Preferred courts are Laurelhurst, Mt. Tabor or Colonel Summers but am open to others, too.

have you considered taking lessons? i'm a part time tennis instructor. i work nights so your schedule is pretty much right on. how about getting some moms together with you. and we can get a group session going. the courts you mentioned are fine with me.
i do have references, i'm certified through the professional tennis registry and i'm an assistant high school tennis coach.
That's an idea ... let me see if I can get some other moms/players together and we'll let you know. Thanks!
Hi Emily,

I live in the Mt. Tabor area and I can play while the kids are in school M-F until September 30th. I start back to school myself after the 30th, but I am off on Thursdays and may have time on Tuesday and Wednesday. I am just getting back into tennis. I need some practice but I did take a class at Clackamas Community College two years ago. Let me know if you are still interested.

Hi Heather! I would love to play next Friday, September 19. Do you have any time? If not, I can play between 10 AM and Noon on Thursday, September 18, or any time the mornings of September 23 or 24. Let me know what works for you.

By the way, I sent you a request to be my "friend" ... I just thought that would be a way to email about meeting without posting all the details in public.

(Just FYI ... I'm not stalking you!)

;-)
LOL!
That's how you do it - request a "friend" and then you can send private messages.
