Tennisopolis : Tennis Social Network

I am looking for local resources to get into tennis in the Santa Fe and Los Alamos area. I don't know much about tennis, besides some times I "tried" to play in high school. Does anyone know of local adult resources that won't break the bank? I see I can get lessons from Shellaberger but I've missed all the "tennis experience" sessions for the year. Are there any other group classes you know of or places where lots of tennis is going on where I might be able to get tips? Anyone want to give me an intro lesson for a lower-than-Shellaberger-charges-for-pro-lessons price? I'm excited to get on the court!

Just going out and hitting with people is free. You can always just look for a partner/partners who are willing to help new players. I have a pro who gives private lessons, but they aren't much cheaper than Shellaberger. I can come hit with you for free, though.

Great! I've found a place to rent a racket. Are you interested in playing this weekend? I am pretty open for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I'll PM you my contact info.

You have to accept my friend request for me to PM you though.

I can play either Friday or Saturday.  Sorry to get back so late, was out of town for work on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Thanks Kevin! That was an awesome tennis introduction!
