One way to look at this is when he is in complete coil, his hitting arm is at 5 o'clock. When he strikes the ball flat, he is at 10:30. The shoulder folds over to the right at 1 o'clock and the whole body moves in the 1 o'clock direction.

The problem with Rafa's new cartwheel serve is that he ends up moving to his right as a result of his coil. Leaves him wide open for a return to his left. Rosol took advantage of that.
