Probably the worst match point ever (for Echagaray at least). Dallas Challenger, 29.01.2008 Video provided by Front Row Tennis, Inc.

I'm with Safin on such calls. Always warn the player first he's footfaulting, before making any footfault call. Safin also thinks footfaults are an archaic rule.
Hey CoachV, your kid is right. But I think I'd do what that guy did. lol
I'm going to assume that it was a foot fault, but you can tell from the video that it was not a blatant violation. He may have crossed the line by 1/2" or 1". The announcer said that it was the first foot fault call of the entire match (unlike Serena's where she had prior calls/ warnings). So this is a horrible call in my opinion, it wrecks the match and puts the emphasis on the linesman not the great tennis on the court.
An ignominious way to lose a match for sure, but a foot fault's a foot fault. Of course, we don't really get to see a replay to see if it really was a legit call, but maybe he shouldn't stand so close to the line. His reaction to the call looks a lot worse than Serena's, ha ha ha!
LOL at CoachV!
So funny.
Hey My Baby Girl has something to say about this.
