I wish I had the back view for the first one. That kick serve got up! For all the haters that say my toss is too far back, this is how I go T with the same toss

Great serves John - I think it would be really dificult to read where you are going.  With only these two serves as evidence, you have a bigger knee bend on the out wide than the T.  That is the most obvious "tell" to me.

The second serve in this video actually shot through the back fence =)

Yeah, those were the supreme guys no one could read along with Mac. Goran was so quick angling his body to the right of the ball, he got all those aces in clutch. Yeah, Annacone was a great coach in forcing Sampras to stay with that one toss.

cool, I will agree to disagree to some extent, Pete and Goran's serves no way anyone could read where they were going...I also like to hit my serves off of one toss and have been told hard to read, sometimes i will change my mind on placement in middle of my motion, like Pete's old coach would do, call out serve and placement in the middle of his motion.

The great servers can do it off the same toss, so reading body language is much more crucial. I am known for my returns of serve, down the line before you can react sort of thing. Connors was my fave, Agassi my other on the return. Agassi used to say he would watch Becker's tongue point the way it would go. lol

I think when Mac did it, he keeps his head the same way, which is what makes it so damn hard to read. I would sit there watching him and say, "didn't know where that was going". But now with him on the seniors tour, I can tell a little more. It's harder to hold the body still when the flexibility is gone in age.

interesting Tim, I was taught to focus on the ball off the racket, not the servers gyrations. I do watch the toss, since toss placement does influence the type of serve one can hit, but that is just me.
