Murray played phenomenally throughout the tournament, so it was no surprise that he got to the final. Whereas the former champion Nadal was definitely not at his best and it was disturbing to see him pull out with yet another injury and it does make one wonder about his future in the sport. Federer had an amazing run as usual, and I honestly thought the final was pretty routine until the third set when Murray seemed to come alive and really began taking it to Fed. It was too little too late however, and Federer was able to capture yet another title. In mine and probably most people's minds Federer is still the one to beat in men's tennis. A great Champion. However Murray played well and I doubt we've seen the last of him.

Jessie is right! In the final, Murray's execution of his game plan was poor. If that's the closest thing to a weapon that Murray has he can't beat Fed in the majors. Besides the Rafa retirement who really did Murray beat? "Happy to be here" Isner? "Beat up" Cilic? As the pundits have said Murray doesn't have a real weapon. That is why Mr. Mayor and I disagree about his game, the Mayor likes watching it, I hate watching it. The same reason I hate Wozniacki's game. Don't be "too cool for school". Come out there and educate your opponent that you have weapons and you are not afraid to use them! Murray did have a cool line in the runner-up presentation, "I can cry like Roger I just can't play like him". Start over again at RG Andy!

Murray's strategy of trying to pick on Federer's backhand failed and pretty much gave fed the opportunity find his timing to close him out. Murray will win Slams but not on Fed's watch.
