Hi Meg, I am also a 3.5 level player looking to play once the weather gets a little nicer. Feel free to email me and hopefully we can set up a time to play (kathryn.thibault@gmail.com). I could also play a couple of times during the week after work…

Jessie is right! In the final, Murray's execution of his game plan was poor. If that's the closest thing to a weapon that Murray has he can't beat Fed in the majors. Besides the Rafa retirement who really did Murray beat? "Happy to be here" Isner? "…

Murray's strategy of trying to pick on Federer's backhand failed and pretty much gave fed the opportunity find his timing to close him out. Murray will win Slams but not on Fed's watch.

Serena was on Conan O'Brian the other night and he gave her the opportunity to apologize for her behavior at the Open. She made a half-hearted apology and said she needed to move on. What a shame. As for the women's game, I think it has made tremend…

I agree on two counts. 1. Kim just ressurrected women's tennis, but she can not do it all by herself. We need some stars to emerge (or return.) 2. Sharapova is super difficult to watch these days. I hope she can come around. Great post Kat!

The Womens tennis has been very disappointing until Kim came back... I hope Justine comes out of retirement.... It is clear that the best female athletes in the world do not play tennis... what a shame because it is such a great game....

Men's 2010 Aussie Final

Murray played phenomenally throughout the tournament, so it was no surprise that he got to the final. Whereas the former champion Nadal was definitely not at his best and it was disturbing to see him pull out with yet another injury and it does make one wonder about his future in the sport. Federer had an amazing run as usual, and I honestly thought the final was pretty routine until the third set when Murray seemed to come alive and really began taking it to Fed. It was too little too late howe… Continue

Women's Tennis at the U.S. Open

First off I think it's amazing how quickly the majority of the seeded players were defeated in this year's U.S. Open. Clijsters has made an amazing comeback after being off the tour for 27 weeks now finds herself in the final. She played great in her semifinal match against Serena Williams although her play was greatly overshadowed by Serena's unsportsmanlike conduct. I was really surprised to see her lose her cool as she did during this match. Getting back to comebacks I personally find it phys… Continue

Del Potro into U.S. Open Final

I just saw Del Potro defeat Nadal in the U.S. Open semis. Del Potro played amazingly, but it was disappointing to see Nadal so easily defeated. I don't think Nadal has been at his best since having had to take time off due to injuries. Del Potro made it look easy which was unbelievable. Del Potro is playing unbelievably - serving great and absolutely lethal off both wings. The final is going to be a really intense match up. Stay tuned!

An Amazing Final

Wow I can't believe Federer just won Wimbledon and surpassing Pete Sampras' record. The serving from both players was outstanding and the match was really neck and neck pretty much the whole way through. Roddick really had his chance in that second set and I think if he had won that set there could possibly have been a different outcome to the match. Roddick really played the best I've ever seen him and yet it wasn't enough to stop Federer. As John McEnroe said if Roddick had been playing anyone… Continue

Totally agree! I never thought Roddick would get past Murrrrrrray, but he did! Roddick played great, he is playing the best I've ever seen him. Still not a good match up with Fed. But excited to watch anyway.

I'm rooting for Venus - I can't stand Serena for some reason....
:-)

Post a blog! It can be simple.
