I am much more fond of machines that have 4 or more mounting point systems.... That's the downside to Ektalon Model H's and their knock offs, in my opinion... I also prefer swivel clamps to the fixed glide bars... OK that's my two cents worth... Hope we get some more comments.... ~coach sam

Its always good to have a trusting ektelon machine around in case of power failure... or to string badminton rackets. For years I always had one as a backup. If you want to make life a bit easier, you can try the electronic wise head, it is the way to turn your machine into a electric constant pull machine.

Hi Patrick... I am looking to see what people say on this topic as well... I have not strung on a Babolat Star Machine but have used many other stringers including the trusty Ektalon model H. I have mostly used Ektalon and inexpensive stand up models like Alpha Blu DC as well as a couple of Eagnas models. I have found them all to be adequate for the volume of racquets I string. Eagnas is probably the least expensive brand on the market and I have had decent results with them. I string up to 25 racquets a month so I am not that picky. If stringing were my sole source of income I would probably invest in a NEOS or Babolat machine. Thanks for posting this topic in the forum.

Ok so no entries yet, lets start with the Babolat machines, I find these to be superior to all, the original star 4.
