This was a really fun event. I joined the low intermediate group and although I think I was down a level it was certainly good practice! They mixed up the drills so that we did baseline hitting (as well as playing points), volleys, overheads, serves (some return practice but not much). For $5 you really could not beat it. I don't know about the other groups involved, but ours did not include any tips from the coaches involved - just the hitting drills. Helpful, and hey for $5 who expected coaching? I'm thinking group lessons would be fine for me, I really don't like too much coaching while hitting anyway. I like some pointers, followed by real-time playing. So I don't think individual lessons suit me. Might have to try one though, I especially need help on a spin serve. All in all it was a positive thing, and I did meet one other tennisopolis.com member and we're meeting tonight to play some. Perfect timing as the arm is rested, lol!
