I’ve played and coached is many countries around the world and I can tell you that the junior tennis culture in US is very different from the rest of them. It seems like technology is taking a firm hold of this upcoming generation and it seems like their attention span is ever decreasing and their respect for the elders and hard work slowly deteriorates. There is a quite widespread “fast-food” and entitlement mindset that I’m noticing around. A lot of kids expect…

Chicago Marathon 2013 signups are opened yesterday February 20, 2013. Typically, within the next 24-48 hours it will be sold. If you want to sign-up, act now! Lots of anticipation leading into the US Open and all eyes are glued on World No.1 Novak Djokovic, the man that can do no wrong or at least can only win. Rafael Nadal had a handful against the French qualifier but tomorrow will need more to beat a top 10 player such as Fernando Verdasco even though he has a perfect 11-0 record against him. Novak should have an easier day as he faces a qualifier but this qualifier has been in the top ten himself so Novak better not count out Radak Stepanek…

I have heard a Soccer Mom talk of attending a recital, ballet practice, and a PTA meeting all scheduled at 9am! Do not ask me how; I am not a soccer mom! Coaching in the burbs, gave me the opportunity to witness these Wonder women types in action.
Soccer moms are quite efficient when it comes to arranging, scheduling, multiple events and commitments…

"Being a world-ranked tennis player has never been so glamorous. When Russian ace Maria Sharapova stepped out with her fellow athletes for a party ahead of Wimbledon, you could have been forgiven for thinking it was a movie premiere or fashion party."…
