NTRP is stands for the National Tennis Ranking Program which seperates players levels into categories. The lowest is NTRP 1.0. The highest is NTRP 7.0 (this is a World Class Player). To asnwer your question, NTRP 2.5 is a player who has some more dependable strokes and is learning to judge where the ball is going; has weak court coverage or is often caught out of position, but is starting to keep the ball in play with other players of the same ability.
