Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
I am new to Montreal and am looking to meet other tennis players. In the U.S. I played in a USTA league and was captain of a 3.0 women's team. I also play mixed doubles. Would love to join a team, or start a regular game...indoors and outdoors.
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):

Ive never heard hitting a ball with a shoe but my instructor made me hit with wood racquets when i started playing to develop a nice smooth swing. Not to mention, the standard size racquet forced me to really watch the ball. Also, with the wood racquet , you have to generate all your own power. I get complimented all the time on the way i swing at the ball. I recently broke down and finally got a modern racquet (andy murray's model) and i definately can volley much better with it as my adidas racquet has a 80sq in head and it is VERY unforgiving at the net so I got tired of missing the "gimme" volleys (I now realize why lendl struggled at wimbledon- just not enough hitting area)
