Profile Information

I am a:
Racquet Stringer
Neighborhood or other helpful location info:
Orlando, FL
Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
Began when about 13 y/o and took the advice from college coach and started coaching when I couldn't keep my coaching eyes shut when looking and playing with fellow team mates and others.
Took my career into medicine (Orthopaedics) while never leaving tennis, but my health took a turn to the worse, had Type 1 diabetes which tennis was a major benefit for health, developed renal disease and eventual failure, had 2 strokes affecting my dominant right side, had 2 kidney transplants, the last successful, a pancreas transplant at the same time as my first t-plant, by the grace of God through amazing family, friends and healthcare providers... I am now as healthy as I've been in about 18 to 20 years!
Oh, my coaching was always to promote the game and sportsmanship in my players... beginner, advanced tournament, collegiate and a few foreign satellite tour players.
I was nominated by one of my junior players who while in college nominated me to lead a men's team to compete in Germany the summer of '93.
In '95 a friend of mine in Florida and I thought about our growing up with tennis in the "old" days and the 'new' Senior Tour's excitement, so I called RHB Ventures and was given an exclusive contract for the Champions Tour in Central FL et al and was extended the co-marketing rights for 4 pro players through SportsPro Management / RHB's players, but in other sports... not tennis!
How could I refuse Jimbo's attorney / ownership group? I couldn't!
Well, tennis has given me more than the game, but in essence has helped give me life!
Favorite pro tennis player(s):
Connors, Johnny Mac, Agassi, Nadal, Roddick, Monfils, and of course R-Fed for the guys.
J Hennin, Maria S, Ana I, Davenport, Venus Wms, Dementieva for the gals.
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
NTRP 4.5
On the court, I am a:
rightie, singles player, one-hander, lobber, all courter, gracious winner, gracious loser
Relationship status:
Single

i am quite a good player, i play for the two top teams in my club. My old coach Harold Malabar he was the best coach in lankashire, he said i could go quite far but i started to late. I want to get as good as i can be, i know i can not go professional as i started to late. My problem is that im not consistant and entend to have lazy feet.

Hi Randy! Welcome to the "community-based" tennis social network which connects tennis players, fans, coaches, and you.

What can you do here?
At Tennisopolis, you can:
- meet other players. Here's a primer on how to find partners.
- join a Group. Members have started over 190 Local Groups (and other types of Groups too.) Search for one in your area, or start your own.
- follow the pros. There are over 500 blog posts on Tennisopolis. Have a good read, or write your own.
- improve your game. Get tips in the Forum and check out video lessons.
- post your own Videos or embed your favorites from youtube.
- add your own Photos.
- and just hang out and connect with great people.

To get started, please upload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, or your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.

Thanks to everyone inviting their friends, we now have over 7800 members and we're growing by 100 new members a day. Invite yours too!

If you need any help, let me know.
M
