Howdy Lyra. Interested in a match sometime? I'd love to play. Cold weather doesn't bother me and I'm getting a bit stir crazy- indoors a bit too much. Drop me a line if you are interested.
hey lyra, you were one of the first people that popped up when I did a portland search. I'm moving out there soon and saw that may have moved recently as well?? Have you found some competent people to play with out there or any leagues? If you had any insight I'd greatly appreciate it, or if you'd like to play...doubles or singles... I'm moving at the end of sept..... Cheers Chris ps, I'll be in SE portland
Hey Lyra... Am new too here... just moved from Michigan this August 2nd. I am have been trying to get hold of someone to play tennis and make new friends but no luck :-( Please do let me know if you are interested to play sometime this week or when you have time. Appreciate your response.
If you want to play mixed doubles or singles let me know. I live close to downtown in SE. The Portland Tennis Center is a great place to play all year round. I can introduce you to the tennis world on the east side. If you like to watch top level tennis the Nike Oregon Tennis Championship is this weekend at Tualatin Hills Recreation Center on SW Walker Rd. on the West side. Top level semi-pro and college players come from the northwest, Canada and even Europe one year. It is free and the seats are close in a new outside tennis arena. Finals start this Sunday morning.
Lyra,
Welcome to Portland. I'm also a recent transplant myself. If you are interested in hitting a few sets of non-competitive tennis on the weekends, count me in.
Hey Lyra!! Let's play some tennis!! I live in close-in N Portland, so Peninsula Park, PTC, PSU, anywhere close-in locations work for me. Regular hitting partner without involving too much competition is my ideal partner. What you say?
Hi Lyra! It's great to have you here! We already have a Portland Group waiting for you - have fun.

To get started, please upload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.

If you are looking to meet people for tennis matches, Look through the Groups or create a Group of your own and invite your tennis contacts. It's a good place to keep in touch with everyone in your circle.
Tennisopolis is also a great place to network with people all across the country and talk about this game we love.
Other places to explore:
- come talk tennis in the forum
- add your own photos
- post your own blog entries.
…and just hang out and meet great people.
Welcome aboard,
Mark
