I'm a local resident. Ruth Hardy Park is the Mecca for tennis in Palm Springs. Pay to Play, Plaza Racquet Club on Barristo is popular too. To hot? Yucca has fine USTA courts always empty. Let me know when you get into town...I can hit in the evenings.
