Just wanted to follow up... looks like despite some rain next few days, Tues-Fri supposed to be really nice this coming week. It's supposed to get close to 60 degrees by the later part of the week! So that's a welcome…"
Just wanted to follow up and let you know, suppoesd to rain a little through Monday, but looks like Tues-Fri this coming week will be nice, and increasingly warmer, almost 60 degrees on Friday!
I am very flexible at the moment, let me…"
"Hey Kirstin, thanks for getting back so fast... not sure if I can play today though it does look pretty dry and kinda nice, only a little breeze. I can try but otherwise maybe tomorrow or on the weekend if we get a nicer dry day - seems like only 1…"
"Hey Gabe, thanks for the comment. It would be great to go and hit sometime, maybe even try a game. Laurelhurst is my preferred spot, too. I'm free today or this weekend (afternoons) so let me know if you want to play. Not too wet yet today.…"
"Exactly, that's what's cool about this site is there are a ton of people, and if it doesn't work out no harm and no hard feelings. Just mainly going out to get some air, hit some balls, make some friends - not stressing about errors…"
"ok well thats a little reassuring. I mean we could always get together once and if i totally suck and your bored and annoyed just dont call me again and thats that! lol whats your schedule look like?? I havent been having to go into work till 12 or…"
"Nah, actually let me rephrase - I'm "normally" a 3.5-4.0 and may get up past that, but for now pretty rusty - some strokes OK and some need some help, but my serve is good for some reason after all this time. Anyhow, i'm just…"
I'm new to the group and just starting introducing myself to some folks that may be a good fit (local and on a close level playing-wise). I also played varsity in High Schol (singles and doubles too), but for not many years since.…"
I'm new to the group and looking for people to hit some balls with, want to play more regularly this year after many years off, got some new gear and looking forward to the good weather! Agassi is my favorite too, still back in his…"
I joined the group recently, looking for people to hit with in the area. I used to play back in the day but not much since so a bit rusty, but it's coming back. I'm close-in SE about 2 miles east of downtown - closest to…"
Joined the group recently, looking for people to hit with in the area. I used to be pretty good but haven't played for many years so getting back into it. I'm 32, also playing for fun/casual but looking to improve and try to…"
"hey! wow if you're a possible 4.0 im definately not there right now! maybe if i get serious and play a few times a week. Im worried you might be a little too advanced for me right now. Im not even sure how i would play because its been so long!…"
Looking for folks in a similar boat, near downtown, played before but looking to get back into it (I also played varsity in HS). Just got a new pair of rackets and am kind of getting in "tennis mode" for upcoming spring/summer…"
I too have fairly strong skills but it's been awhile... I played in HS and college but not much since, just a couple times so far this year. Primarily singles but I like doubles too. I also had a major injury (knee) a few years ago…"
I too have played in my teens - varsity in HS and a little in college for credit, but it's been awhile, looking to get out and hit more w/ people in a similar situation. If available and interested, let me know what part of town…"
Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
-Looking to meet more people rated 4.5 or so (male or female) for singles close-in eastside. If people are available non-peak hours (mornings or days) even better than eves/weekends, when most courts are packed and there's a wait.
-Also wouldn't mind getting a group of 4 together for some doubles down the road, ideally close to same level, mixed doubles OK too.
-At some point (maybe while on a road trip) would love to try the grass courts out in Baker City, in eastern Oregon.
**Evenings/Weekends: Grant Park (NE 33rd) - 6 courts (upper 3 better)
**Off-Peak Times: Laurelhurst Park (SE 38th + Stark) - only 2 courts but closest to me
**Also enjoy: Mt. Tabor courts (west or east), Sellwood Park, and Washington Park (the ones near Japanese Gardens). Open to try others too.

Hey Gabe, thanks for the comment. It would be great to go and hit sometime, maybe even try a game. Laurelhurst is my preferred spot, too. I'm free today or this weekend (afternoons) so let me know if you want to play. Not too wet yet today. Otherwise, keep me in mind for future good-weather days.
