The Delray Beach ITC is currently the only ATP tournament in the world featuring an ATP Champions Tour event and an ATP World Tour event in the same week. Scheduled for February 20-28, 2010 at the Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center in Delray Beach, Florida, the ITC annually attracts the best tennis players in the world and thousands of visitors to Delray Beach and Palm Beach County. The $500,000 ATP World Tour event is entering its 18th year (12th in Delray Beach) while 2010 will be the inaugural year for the ATP Champions Tour event. Celebrated in 2003 with the ATP Award of Excellence, the privately-owned tournament features one of 11 ATP World Tour Events in the United States and the first-ever ATP Champions Tour event played on US soil. Total player compensation is $1.3 million for both events.
The Delray Beach International Tennis Championships (ITC) is a spectacle beyond tennis...Celebrated in 2003 with the ATP Award of Excellence, the tournament attracts fan phenomenons and pillars of the sport—Agassi, Blake, Roddick, Haas, Fish, Canas, the Bryan Brothers, Bagdhatis and more in recent years. In 2009, World-ranked No. 1 team and 2009 Doubles Champions, the Bryan Brothers, Tommy Haas, Taylor Dent, Guillermo Cañas, Lleyton Hewitt, Delray Beach ITC 2009 Champion and US Open Quarterfinalist Mardy Fish all just a few who competed... 50,000 screaming fans rocking the house, millions more watching on TV and live broadband coverage, 20-plus parties and thrilling events throughout the week, nightly pulsating concerts, infamously alluring VolleyGirls, glorious daytime and scintillating evening sessions in an ATP "Award of Excellence" winning arena... Let’s be honest, it's not even about a yellow tennis ball going back and forth anymore. It's about the music, the food, the fashion, the revelry. You need a seat belt for the ITC.
