I just moved to the area and am looking for an occasional hitting partner. I played in high school and a little in college. Its been a while since I picked up a racket but if interested hit me up... -sam
Hi Bernadette! Welcome. You can start a Group here for your team. It will be a great place to connect with all your teammates and you can set it to invite only. You can also organize events with the calendar... let me know if I can help.
Welcome to the "community-based" tennis social network which connects tennis players, fans, coaches, and you. We created this place in December and it has been a wild ride ever since - we've gone viral and now we're "almost famous".
To get started, pleaseupload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, or your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.
Thanks to everyone inviting their friends, we now have over 12,400 members and we're growing by 90 new members a day. Invite yours too!
Thank you for responding! Here are some more details. The league starts at the end of September. We will start to practice once we have all the girls on the team. We need to know within the next day or two if you are interested as we are trying to see how many more teams we can get signed up!
We play in the evening - around 7:30PM.
We play between Paseo, Arrowhead, and one or two other locations TBA. It will be somewhere in Phoenix, or the East Valley.
Cost:
It is a USTA team, so you have to join the USTA which is $40. The league itself is $25, and then there are court fees to be determined based on the amount of times that you play. The good thing with this is that it is a friendly competition, you play different people, and you have the opportunity to go to Regional and Finals with the USTA.
Please feel free to check out the USTA website at www.phoenixtennis.com. All payments (except for court fees) are made directly through their website.
I had been playing in the Scottsdale leagues for a while and got tired of playing the same people so I joined the USTA. It has been a great experience for me!
I would definitely be interested. Is it a morning or evening league. Next month I'm scheduled to work on Mondays but may be flexible. Thanks for the invite and please let me know when you have more details.
