@D, see the Babolat logo on the strings? And Peter Carter had a gamma sponsorship (red dot).
BTW, what year did Babolat start making racquets?
OK, I'll answer my own question 9from wikipedia):
The company has made strings since 1875, when Pierre Babolat created the first strings made of natural gut. Babolat continued to focus on strings until 1994, when it became a "total tennis" company. That is, Babolat began producing racquet frames and selling them in Europe. It then moved on to Japan, and later to the USA in 2000.
I've read Peter Carter had a great backhand. I wonder if he developed Fed's backhand.
It is possible, I know Adidas picked Gonzalez at 15yrs old; Fed still wears same Nike stuff and "new" Wilson racquet models he has used over time look awfully similar to the one it this pic, I don't see why Babolat couldn't have been just another sponsor in line
Fed must have had a Babolat string sponsorship at this time.
See that makes total sense until you mentioned it I did not even pick up on it!
So funny, I saw it that way too D. Their hands are crossed here - Carter is in a forehand position and Rog is in backhand.
I will content with him touching it ;)
Sorry mate, the Volkl racquet is Peter's. Fed has used the Prostaff since he was a teenager
Hey the only thing I have ever had in common with the Fed Express, Volkl C10 Pro
