I'm getting at least three inches, sorely needed for my flat first serve, since I'm 5'7''. My first serve percentage is up from when I was using the platform serves. Plus, the power I get is clearly more. My hips throw open and my torso is more vertical than before. I land about a full stride into the court onto my left foot. My left foot is a little sore from the landings. lol
How much clearance do you have off of the ground Michael? And you too Tim, how much are you getting?

I've been experimenting with jump serves like the Soderling, Becker or Dolgopolov serves and find much more power. The hip turn and face forward position from clearing the ground and turning everything creates so much more acceleration.
