Well, I read that they were sued over the Hammer patent, not the widebody design of the Profile. But I also read somewhere else that they left instead of pay Wilson an overly large settlement. I can't find the online source...

I saw the EOS back in the day. Ahead of its time. Too bad Wilson sued Yamaha and made them voluntarily stop racquet production.
I was sponsored by Yamaha in 1992, they lead the way with the first 10.oz racket, the EOS
Makes me think of my Yamaha Gold 100 I used in my high school days. Red and gold, now that's a color combo!
