Tennis Over 50

I'd like to hear from players over 50. I came across a book called Playing Tennis Over 50 and was intrigued. How do players stay in shape, compete, stay safe to avoid injury? Are there 50+ tournaments, clinics, or discussions out there?

I am 73 and playing the best tennis of my life.  I belong to a tennis group that plays twice a week all year, and another group that plays twice a week outside in summer.  The first group is looking for new people on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 to 10:30 AM inside at Lakevue Tennis Club in Valencia, PA, just North of Pittsburgh, PA.   All are over 65 years of age, are  very competitive. We also meet for Dinner once a month.  Call Don at 724-287-7396

Recovery, no kidding. Remember when you were in your teens and shoot you probably could grow back a finger! lol Time is something, luckily I'm healthy, good genes my Grandmother told me.

I still play hard, but my body takes more time to recover. I could take it easier, but what's the fun in that? I'll slow down when I must!
