Does anyone know of some good workouts or clinics in the south bay that are open to non-members?  Thanks

Hi Jeff,

Call my friend Dave Mahoney. He teaches in Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach and has many classes/workouts throughout the week for adults of all levels. Make sure you tell him that Amy sent you. His phone number is 310-619-7349. He has been teaching tennis for over 25 years and he's very nice too. He would be good for workouts throughout the week on a regular basis.

As far as tennis clinics, I am signing up for a tennic clinic on July 10 with legendary tennis coach Oscar Wegner. He is originally from Argentina, but has lived all over the world, including many parts of the US. He is the creator of MTM (Modern Tennis Methodology) and has worked with some of the world's top tennis players. His has written books on tennis and has been involved in the developement of many top players. I won't name drop..lol...but these players have been in the top ten in the world, a few of them are still inthe top ten today. He has coached in many countries. He recently moved from Florida to Encino, CA and is now offering his famous clinics in Southern California. The one coming up soon is going to take place at Alta Vista Tennis Courts in Redondo Beach. You don't need to be a member to participate and the cost for a half day clinic is less than $40 per person. Man, I sound like I work for him. lol! Here is more info on that:

Hey Jeff, if you're willing to drive to Marina del Rey, Ojakian Tennis offers Cardio Tennis classes at the Ritz Carlton for $25. Valet parking gets validated and it's an AMAZING workout. ojakiantennis.com has the schedule.
