Hi and welcome to Dallas -- Fair Oaks (Walnut Hill & Fair Oaks) is good. I've played there for years. It's public, but there is a nominal fee $2 for an hour and a half or something. I normally play Sunday mornings throughout the year there. I also skate around the trails there.
