Fed may lose his single against Roddick if Andy gets really fired up. And he might just be in that mood.
If so, all's up in the air.
Roger Federer will miss Switzerland’s Davis Cup matches against the United States and next week’s tournament in Dubai as he rehabs a back injury. Federer said on his Web site Tuesday he did not have enough time to completely strengthen his back after hurting it last fall. He says he is taking a precautionary measure.
Federer says Dubai is one of his favorite tournaments, and he regrets being unable to help his country in the Davis Cup. Federer is ranked No. 2. He lost to Rafael Nadal in five sets at the Australian Open final. (Yahoo Tennis)
I thought I read something stating that Fed is back in the Davis Cup? I'm not sure though, I'll have to go back and search for it.
Anyway, I actually think Blake has a better shot against Fed than Andy would. Andy is basically Fed's pigeon, hasn't he beaten Andy something like 15 times straight?
If Blake is buring on all cylinders, and playing consistently at the same time, he can blast just about anyone off the court.I think we have a shot, but it probably depends on how Blake plays.
