U.S. have a chance against Fed in Davis Cup?

The Bryans will have something to prove against the Swiss after the Olympics.If they can take the doubles and Roddick and Blake take out Stan ,the US has a decent shot. Even if the US losses it would be so cool to see Switzerland vs. Spain in the DC finals ... if that's how the draw works out. Also both Roddick and James have beaten Fed in the past year, maybe US chances are not so dim. I would love to be there.

You're crazy. I think the Aussie proved that, when it matters, Fed will never lose to Andy. At least, Andy R. Andy M. is another story. But US does have a chance. This time last year Stan was catching fire and his confidence was soaring, but right now, he's falling out of the top ten. I pick the Bryans, but not sure about Blake over Stan??? Oh, just remembered Blake beat Fed in the Olympics... payback?!?

Bummer I guess its all moot. But if spain had faced the swiss in a DC tie they should have had Nadal and Fed just play five matches over a week.

I thought I read something stating that Fed is back in the Davis Cup? I'm not sure though, I'll have to go back and search for it.

Anyway, I actually think Blake has a better shot against Fed than Andy would. Andy is basically Fed's pigeon, hasn't he beaten Andy something like 15 times straight?

If Blake is buring on all cylinders, and playing consistently at the same time, he can blast just about anyone off the court.I think we have a shot, but it probably depends on how Blake plays.

Hi Poet, Fed is out. (however Andy beat Fed in a meaningless match last year.) Last i saw, adny beat fed's replacemtn and balck lost to Wawrinka.... dont know what happened today.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for filling me in, I haven't been watching the Davis Cup. Wawrinka is pretty good( I like him) so I'm not too surprised that Blake lost to him. I'm not even sure what kind of form Blake is in now. Did he play really badly or was he just outplayed by Wawrinka?
