Thoughts on venus/date-krumm
I'd say that was semi final if not final worthy. If she hadn't come up against venus I think she could have made a decent run if she played the way she did today. I just dont get how she produces the power she does!

Its all timing. This was a great match, two tough competitors, but if Date-Krumm would have made it through this match, it would have been the talk of the first week, except of course if Andy Murray makes it to the second week!, it's amazing the pressure he must be facing each day in the media.
Over the years I have had the opportunity to watch many players up close, especially during practice sessions, and to watch how they have precision timing, its just a fine tuned machine.

I guess Venus used the Date-Krumm match as insipiration because she straight crushed her next opponent!
