"The Top Two" Becomes "The Top Three" Becomes "The Other Top Two"

Watch out!  It takes the tennis commentators so long to recognize that Nole has joined Fed and Nadal and that there is a "top three".  They waited too long and now there is a gap leaving Fed out of the new "top two".  Thoughts?

I saw the Melzer-Federer match and I just don't think that Fed can do it every match any longer. After becoming the best in the world for a long time, the distractions set in.  By the time he came back to wanting it again he aged. (Not old but older for tennis) He is still amazing but he is not going to be what he was. You might as well appreciate him for what he is now but realize that he probably will retire in the very near future.
