Potential league debacle
As my 5.0 team gets set to play our 3rd match against the strongest team in out local league I got to thinking...
If we win tomorrow that would be a 3-0 sweep of our head to head matches. Because USTA forces a local playoff we could still not advance! Imagine being 3-1 against a team and that team advancing!!
Obviously I wouldn't mention this if I were not a little afraid of the team beating us...

Yep, sometimes that happens. It all depends on if all you top players are available for that match. You have a weird situation because you only have 3 teams in your league, right?
Lst night, my team got beat. We are now 6-1 and the team that beat us is now 4-2, but our top singles guys are out of town and all their top players were there.. We'll probably get to play them again in the playoff.

yep, and some teams "hide" their top players from the top rival til playoff time....sneaky captains

We have 4 teams in our local league but only 2 make playoffs
