Dang nice job, looks like 5.0 is zero challenge for you, should be banging in the Opens since 5.5 is non-existent. Also, did you see the new year-end grand prix rules, minimum number of tournaments to qualify , 5 for 5.0, 3 for 5.5.

I saw that. Marty is a very close friend of mine (the tournament director) I have 2 in now. I will ask if I NEED the # of tournaments. If I do maybe I will take a dive in a few matches and protect my rating?

Next time there is open and ntrp I will play open but I am off to trucke with 3 clients... I can't pass up a trip/ work like that

Good job John!

Here in NM, it basically goes from 4.5 ot Open in tournaments since we can't get enough 5.0 and Opens to create a full draw.  I'm a middle of the pack 4.5 so it does not affect me, but I have some 5.0 buddies that get slammed by former NM Lobo players in the Open category.  hell, that is a problem I'd be willing to have.  :-)

 

I would love to play you sometime and see how I would stack up.  Who knows, maybe I'll be in CA again.  Hey, do you ever go to the Indian Wells tournament?  If you haven't, I highly recommend it.
