I medaled at the Aloha State Games in Hawaii and played an open.
I beat a player from florida tech in singles and lost to a junior. I was up 5-2 and puked (too many pina coladas)
Beat the dude who used to play for Michigan in the semi's of doubles. His partner was a guy I know from sac who always prided himself in being ranked #1 in 5.0 tournaments for norcal. Lost to a team from HPU in the finals.
The open was doubles only and we lost to one of the same guys and a different partner from HPU. I was super impressed by HPU for a D2 school. If they played D1 they would be ranked about the same as Sac st.
The second tournament was on the campus of UH... super cool

No prize money in this tournament. Just the doubles only one I also played... so ya, more of a vacation at that point =)
