reactions to the matches so far? i thought i'd get creative on the pick'ems and enter twice, each under a different username: one for my REAL picks and one just based on rankings/seedings just to see how it played out. well, i guess you have to use a different email address too when using two usernames, cuz it appears i'm only entered once - with my set of picks based on rankings! oof! not the one i wanted. oh well. learn for next time.

Ouch.
But you know, they have some various "players" that do that already. Like Roberta who is a robot (get it) and picks all the seeds. Then there is a computer user that picks based on the race standings... I think there are more...

huh. didnt know that.
funny. so it's just me you, and you, this time, eh? ;)

I'm missing being in Cincinnati right now; just saw Tipsarevic lose to Moya 7-6,7-5. I would like to meet him in person.
yep, only the hardcore here!
Roddick's out. I picked him to win.
ouch.

Yep, I didn't even sign up myself. I was so busy with everything. I'm just promoting the Majors only, but I'm glad to see you didnt miss the deadline Elaine. :-)

surely his replacement, Woong-Sun Jun, will go on to win the title in his stead! ;)
LOL! Go Woooooong! (Surely his backhand is better at least).
wow, federer's out. that blows away my bracket...
I can't believe I went against my Nole!
Great match this evening! I was THERE and then didn't get a ticket:(
I may be going to tomorrow's final:)

I felt after Nadal's interview at reaching #1 last night, just the SLIGHTEST very slight big-headedness come over him. He wasn't giving Lapenti any praise for giving him a tough match and he wasn't seeming very concerned about his match against Nole!
haha.
Happy to see Nole win!!:)
i said this last night while watching the semifinal: i'll bet nadal is just ready to get the heck out of north america for a bit and have a break. he's now got the #1, he's won like 7 straight tournaments, he's about to go to the olympics and there's a long flight ahead, and he's even been complaining about the ATP's stepped-up promotion (seen those TV ads?) of the summer hardcourt swing when it's the toughest on the players' bodies. so i think he'd just had enough this week. so what'll happen after the olympics? my guess is they'll stay the whole week whether they're still in the event or not, just to get the experience of the olympics, then come back, and practice that last week before the Open (but not play in New Haven). those top guys won't need any more warm-up by then.
That's true - I hadn't thought of all that. Nadal definitely has a history of complaining about the length and frequency of the hard court season.

Did you catch Murray's win over Nole????
What tactics did he use?
