Hello everyone :)

Not sure where to start. I'm new and would like to play at least a few times a week.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions.  I've managed to play twice this week!  But strangely not with anyone from Tennisopolis. Chuck, sorry about the tendon.  I'm fighting severe arthritis in the knees myself.  God bless medication.

There are several meetup groups in metro Detroit that set up tennis events where you can meet people looking to play more.  Metro Detroit Athletes, Michigan Adventurer's Club, and Metro Detroit Tennis.  There is a Ford Tennis Club fordtennis.org or com? if you are in the Dearborn/West Suburbs.  I got involved with all of these over the last few years and had more opportunities to play than I had time to play. I'm out for the season with a ruptured Achilles tendon.

Darnell,

I used to see lots of people in West Bloomfield playing. Not far from farmington, mid you I don't know where in Farmington you are. Theres a park on Drake north of Fourteen, and West Bloomfield High got used a bit as well. I'm not out there much anymore, but hopfully this helps.

Worked moved from Ann Arbor to Farmington Hills over the fall.  Had tons of player at Ypsi High.  I've hit all 3 Farmington high schools...nothing.  Does ANYONE play between Detroit and Ypsi??? P.S. I'm a 3.0 to 3.5 player.

I just moved up to the Auburn Hills area in April. I'm pretty rusty right now, but would have been ~4.5 back in the day. All I've done recently is go out to the local high-school courts and serve. I'd be glad to find somebody to actually hit with for once. Weekends are best for me, due to work schedule.

Hey I notice that I'll be the first post of 2011. I'm a rusty 3.5/4.0 in the Redford/Livonia area. Its been tsing cats and dogs recently but if anyone wants to dust off the racquet, I'd be ecstatic.

Hey! Just moved up 2 Waterford from Atlanta & know absolutely no one 2 play tennis w/. Played pretty regularly a couple times a week 4 recreation & would guess 2 B a 2.0-2.5 player. Haven't played Alta or USTA so have no clue on my actual rating. Pretty good though............haha!!!
