Tennisopolis : Tennis Social Network

Hi! I just found and joined this site, I am glad I found you guys! I played tennis in high school and stopped when I was in college. Now that I am finished with school I am wanting to get back into it. I think the best thing for me now is to get back into some lessons. Does anyone recommend an instructor or club that has good rates and a great coach? There are so many and I don't want to waste my time and money searching if you know a good one! Thanks, I appreciate the help!

I've been thinking about doing the clinic at the Balboa Tennis Club. Here is the website. I've heard it's helpful and a good deal. But I think you may want to reserve a spot because it fills up.

Hi Jess,

I highly recommend the Saturday tennis clinics at Stagecoach Park. The instructor there, Mark Keifer, is really good and the clinics usually have a perfect amount of people. You can sign up on the Carlsbad Connect website (http://www.carlsbadca.gov/recreation/index.html - click on the sign up button on the right). Today was the first day of the new season, so you can still sign up for the rest of the season and get good value from it

Hope this is helpful,

Jon
I think it would be hard to recommend anybody because it really up to you to decide. All the instructors have different personalities and styles of teaching. What works for me may not work for you? I've taken class at East county, SDSU and City College many years ago. I would start with the courts closest to you.
Balboa Tennis club. Has a nice setup. you can get cheap memberships and good instructors. good luck
