After years I revisted older e-mails and found our conversation. I live in SE near Mt Scott Community Center. Wondering if you are up for some causal tennis there or nearby.
I am looking for more people to play tennis. I live close in SE Portland but willing to play at Washington Park Courts near downtown if you live on the westside. I am 3.5 with years of experience. I use to play in club matches but now just for fun. I am available most evenings and weekends. Hope to hear from you.
Crystal, yes I live about five blocks from that park. I bike there or Laurelhurst Park courts but Washington Park and Mt. Tabor courts are beautiful. Anyway I can only play late afternoon or evening hopefully you do not work every night and if you do then the only other time would be when I have time off from work and then let you know early. Still give me a call sometime.
I'm glad to hear from you and know that you are serious about learning more tennis because it make the sport more enjoyable. Let someone else chase tennis balls, right? I read your profile and it is good to rally and of course work on the serve too if you like. The serve is the most difficult stroke.
I have been playing indoors as I usually do every winter in the doubles mixers at the Portland Tennis Center. I am spoiled as I haven't played outdoors this spring yet. I live closer to downtown between SE Hawthorne and Bemont. Is that near you or which courts do you go to?
Well I am very patient and have many years of experience and would like to meet you to hit sometime with no obligations on your part.
I can play late afternoon 4 PM or weekends. My work number is (503) 220-8429.
Haha... that was an awfully long time ago. Well, time has passed, and I am living in Portland. I sent you a friend request back then, I guess, because it is not letting me make a friend request now. Add me and maybe we can rally one of these sunny days. I know some people, and I can probably help you get matched up.
I'm moving to Portland in the summer, looking for tennis players. I have a relatively good serve (is that a true statement?). I'm learning myself, but I could give you a few tips on your serve. We could always say screw it and hit some balls. What do you say?
If you want to practice let me know as I am looking to find more people. Washington Park is a lovely place to play and I can play anywhere. I have a lot of equipment if you need to borrow any. Also the Portland Tennis Center has great prices on small group lessons.
Hi! Welcome to the "community-based" tennis social network which connects tennis players, fans, coaches, and you. We created this place in December and it has been a wild ride ever since - we've gone viral and now we're "almost famous".
To get started, pleaseupload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, or your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.
Thanks to everyone inviting their friends, we now have over 13,000 members and we're growing by 90 new members a day. Invite yours too!
