I first started using ballons when kid v (my daughter) was 2 he is now 8 playing tournaments.

I have been using ballons for over 6 years. He skipped balloon phase. There is move video of maximus hitting at coachvtennnis academy on http://youtube.com/coachv1

Great!.... Have you tried a baloon? 

He can hit the ballon in the air, and it slows so much that it almost comes to a complete stop in the air for him to hit. 

We used a baloon and then to the red and yellow foam ball. both great for indoors.
