Mark, great idea here dig the interface of the site as well. As a pilot I travel a fair amount and love the idea of building a tennis network. In this day and age, a good tennis match shouldn't be more than a few mouse clicks away no matter where you are. Thanks for moving the tennis world in that direction.
Cheers,
Skeet
Hi Mark,
I was thinking about a WTT group, but I also have a web site thru work that I post info on about WTT. I was going to send an email blast to the data base I have (70 registered players) about this site. I want to think about your suggestion because I want to make sure I can manage what ever I start. I am sure its a good idea, its my ability to keep up with it the way I would like to that concerns me.
Best,
A
Hey I just wanted to say that I was reading a comment you had left someone from dallas and you said you had played at canyon creek in richardson. I also played at cccc for a little while but later switched to tbarm, Do you know it?
Hey MArk
This is seriously a great idea. I played constantly in SOCAL (USTA and tournaments) but you know how cliquey tennis can be! I moved to CHI and have been without game other than hackers at the park. (That's cool too, but I'm competitive and most weekenders will only take getting beaten a couple of times before they're "busy.")
Anyway - I'm happy to start up the space for Windy City Players. I'll spend some time on it this weekend.
I've designed toys, battery operated ride-in cars, strollers and baby furniture, bikes and ride ons, exercise equipment and now hand tools and garage furniture. I spend a lot of time in Asia. Saw your building - artist studio. Nice!
I do miss some parts of LA - but I am a prairielander at heart and my parents live here. After 20 years in LA it was time to come home. (Gotta check out the indoor courts right next to my office!)
Thanks so much for starting the site...it's GREAT! Unfortunately I don't have any friends who play in the area, I grew up playing with my dad's friends! Anyway, I joined hoping to meet some local folks to play with. I can't believe the site's only been up for a couple of weeks... WAY TO GO! It feels great to be a among the original members of tennisopolis. Here's to the beginning of many great tennis relationships to come!
This is very interesting. Saw it on Craig's List for Phila. I'm not too into "chatting" with strangers, and not looking for any kind of "dating service," but might be interested if it could lead to a few good local friends who like to play. I'll check on the "Philly" crowd. Best wishes.

Just a suggestion. If it is possible to have listed under the name of members where they live in the U.S.?

I'm an Industrial Designer, formerly out of LA area and now in Chicago. I'm a strong 4.0 reaching for 4.5's too (when my body permits it!)

All the best.
