Why all the crapping on Wawrinka?
I couldn’t believe the amount of crap Stanislas Wawrinka got just for taking a bathroom-break (bad pun intended). Even experienced commentators started talking about his “gamesmanship” for taking a bathroom break in the middle of the tense fifth set. I almost expected one of them to run out onto the court and threaten to ram a ball down his throat. So much hate for one of the most non-drama guys you could find on the tour. What gives?

I'm in agreement about Stan "the man". But how about the state of American men's tennis? Really, is this all we have? An American Karlovic and the surfer dude with no pulse? The academies have become too good. and all the players are rolling of the assembly line like robots. "Big serve, big forehand, 2HBH and no chance at a major." At least the last generation had some variety with Roddick, Blake, and Fish and Genepri. With Donald Young on the bullet train to nowhere and the next best hope after Harrison is a kid named Sock....... the real dark days of American tennis are soon to be upon us.
So much was made of the Spanish presence at the US Open. Look at how different the players are! Nadal, Verdasco, Robredo, and Lopez this is what America needs. The Bolleteri clones have their place it just can't 100% of the US product.

Absolutely! Stan has earned our trust over the years, and as far as I can tell, has never abused the bathroom break rule. Sometimes I think the announcers run out of things to talk about and start making stuff up.
