maybe some sort of feed like the facebook app has, where you have posts and msgs notifications. problem is, i'm no developer, otherwise i'd do it! :)

Great suggestion Chungy.
Just to be clear, there is an iphone-friendly version of tennisopolis. Check it out everyone. You can hook up with other players while you are on the run.
What kind of app can you think of? Let's brainstorm.
