Tennisopolis : Tennis Social Network

Hey Guys,

I think this Rita Hakam is a scam, so be careful. She might not be local. Her profile says she's from Dakar, Senegal which is a country in Africa. She emailed the same message to like 8 or more guys here and said nothing about tennis. If you respond then she can get hold of your email address and who knows what's next. It's up to you. Just a warning.

We work hard to delete spam accounts immediately (everyday actually), and we catch almost all of them before they make a dent. But occassionally one will get through. Thanks again, Mark

Thanks for the heads up Ray. You are right; this was a classic spammer account. They try to get your email account, hence the request to communicate through email rather than through the methods built into Tennisopolis. What happens from there, who knows... If someone sounds to generic, too insistent, or just not "tennis-related" be careful. One easy way to see what is up is to check their profile and look at their latest activity. These spammers send out these notes in mass; so you will see a barage of spam from them.
