i think Joseph posted this to draw me out... first tennis meet-up i pulled out a wilson hammer 2.7 that has a throat and lower hoop thats like 4 inches thick (it's my mom's) started playing with it but couldn't control it..i couldn't stop grinning
thanks for all the good insights... i'm a newbie on this site so thanks for being flexible Mr. Mayor ;-)
This is more like a discussion in the forum than a blog, but I'll let it slide. :-) (Blogs are more like articles.)
To answer your question, yes. I can tell a lot, sometimes I'm wrong but I can tell how good someone is just by how they hold the racquet walking to the court.
My stick is a Wilson Kblade 98 with red overgrip and hybrid kevlar/ synthetic gut strings. I use the W dampener, but always turned to make an "M" for super Mark! dead center tension. What would you think if you saw this setup?
**oops not one hand, two hand backhand. i like the excel, it's like hitting the ball with a pillow. helps my wrist, elbow problems
4.0 partner I can work with
I'd say no. Unless you've experienced first hand how they play with it.. :-P
i like my Babolat Aeropro drive 27.5 inch stock strung at 58lbs with Excel 16 gauge, durarib grip. i enjoy the additional half inch as added reach for serves and one hand backhand, (yes the BH cross court that passed by you about 4 times on that first set tie break)
do you have a mixed partner yet for this weekend? pshh..
