In some Cases I can if its a wal-mart or a big 5 racquet But one time a played this guy with a Wooden Racquet
and when he pull it out I thought he is a old school player that was going to teach me a thing or two After a few min of warm up I sent a backhand cross court threw the strings and if there were no strings so he borrowed one of my practice racquets wich or good racquets and it was all down hill from there for him, but what really is deceiving is one time I played in a adult open/Nrp tourny and I was looking for somebody to warm up with and this one guy was deck out from head to toe in Adidas a 12 pack racquet bag so I pick him to hit with after about three min I was fed up he could not return the ball could not get the ball over the net then my dad Called and
told the guy sorry man we cant do this anymore we have to find somebody else and asked him what event he was playing in he said 3.5 I would swore he was and ATP Player.
So I think can be more deceving than Raquets
i don't think they sell "players racquets" at Wal-Mart..? i don't know about that... The Dunlop Max 200G, yes a bit of respect from that player because you must have skills to swing that lumber around.
I'd say no, I can't tell. My friend still uses his old Dunlop Max 200G, the racquet used by Steffi Graf during her heyday. He's one of those frustratingly rare people who can pick up their game, even with a long absence from tennis. He played high school varsity in the late 80's. Looking at his gear, you'd think he'd his strokes would be as old as his gear. But's it's a "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go" experience when he's beaten you 6-2 and you realize he's still got game.
Coach, thanks for jumping in. Ever wonder why he asked to borrow your wood racquet and not your "typical players racquet"..??
That Pro you described sounds like a buddy of mine....
Guilty. Don't forget to post three pictures Mixed.. one for each 10 point tiebreak you nearly won..
