I want to learn!

Ok, have decided to get out and do something. Tennis and Golf seem to be the best outlets for my personality.
I live in the Jacksonville, Fl area and want to know if there is anyone out there who is a step above a beginner that would like to meet and teach me the basics and then practice/play? Also, I will be looking for my first racket in the mean time.
I will be ready the week after Thanksgiving, so any takers? I am not sure where any courts are even at. In Columbus, GA where I moved from, there was a park that had courts you could use.
