Just keepin' it real for the serve and volley'ers =)

I know its a tutorial for the returner, and a good one!

The lob is always a possibility, but I would play anyone's lob vs my overhead all day.

after watching the vid...yeah, I was playing the lob plus he never EVER hits this hard flat pass, normally it's a loop so I have time to close and kill.

um... I"M THE SERVER... But he does lob a lot so I don't close until I'm sure it's a pass

yeah, the short cross-court angle works great when the volley'er hits his first volley and then stays on the service line. Look where this clown is. The volley'er needs to dissect the angle of available passing shots, and close the net. (would have had an easy volley into the open court if he had). The second pass was a good one and would have beat him even if he had closed, but at least the other guy had to hit over the high part of the net.

P.S. I'm not doubting the skill of these players, just pointing out the lack of effort by the server for the purpose of the demonstration
